Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect Usage Data and enhance your experience on our Service. Cookies are small text files placed on your device that allow us to recognize you and maintain your preferences when you return to our site. We use the following types of cookies on the Service:
- Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the Service to function correctly and securely. For example, they help authenticate users and prevent fraudulent use of user accounts.
- Functional Cookies: These cookies remember your preferences and settings to enhance your experience (for instance, language preferences or other customization).
- Analytics Cookies: We use analytics tools (such as Vercel Analytics or similar services) that deploy cookies to collect information about your use of the Service. This helps us understand traffic patterns and user interactions so we can improve functionality and content.
At this time, we do not use cookies for third-party advertising on our Service. If in the future we integrate advertising or marketing cookies, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide you with any required opt-in or opt-out choices.
Your Choices: Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies or notify you when a cookie is being placed on your device. Please note that if you disable or reject cookies, some features of the Service may not function properly. To opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you may use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (if applicable to our analytics) or other privacy tools. We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals, as there is no industry standard for compliance, but we adhere to the principles described in this Privacy Policy.
How We Share Your Personal Information
We do not disclose or share your Personal Information with third parties except in the circumstances described below. When we do share data, we take steps to ensure those recipients uphold adequate privacy and security standards.
- Service Providers: We share Personal Information with trusted third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf. This includes hosting and cloud infrastructure providers (for example, for data storage and database management), analytics services, email and communication providers, customer support tools, and payment processors. These third parties only receive the information necessary to perform their specific services, and they are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for our authorized purposes.
- Business Partners and Integrations: If the Service integrates with or links to third-party services (for example, if you choose to connect the Perroquet Restaurant Platform with another application or platform), we will share information with those third parties at your direction and with your consent. In such cases, the third party's privacy policy will apply to their use of your information.
- Affiliates: We may share your information with subsidiaries, parent company, or other companies under common ownership or control (if any exist), in which case we will require those affiliates to honor this Privacy Policy. (At present, 9532-7318 Québec Inc. does not have separate affiliate entities, but this is noted for completeness.)
- Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose Personal Information to government authorities, law enforcement, or other third parties if required to do so by law or subpoena, or if we believe in good faith that such action is necessary to (a) comply with a legal obligation, (b) protect or defend the rights, privacy, safety, or property of the Company, our customers, or others, (c) investigate or respond to suspected illegal activity or violations of our terms, or (d) prevent physical harm or financial loss.
- Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of company assets, or transition of service to another provider, your Personal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will ensure that any such transfer of data is subject to confidentiality arrangements and that your Personal Information remains protected, and we will provide notice to you before your Personal Information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With Your Consent: In cases where you have provided consent for us to share your information in a specific way not covered above, we will share your Personal Information consistent with that consent. For example, if you agree that we can share your testimonial or feedback with others, or if you opt-in to a feature of the Service that involves disclosing certain information to third parties, we will do so in accordance with your instructions.
No Sale of Personal Information
We want to reassure you that we do not sell your Personal Information. In particular, we do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise make your Personal Information available to third parties for their own independent use (such as their marketing or advertising purposes).
For clarity and compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): We do not sell (as defined under the CCPA) your Personal Information to third parties. In the preceding twelve (12) months, we have not sold any Personal Information. We also do not share your Personal Information with third parties for purposes of targeted advertising to you across different websites. If in the future our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any required notice or opt-out mechanism.
Data Retention
We will retain your Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as outlined in this Privacy Policy, and to the extent required by law or for legitimate business needs. This means that:
- Account Information is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or it becomes inactive, we will delete or anonymize the Personal Information associated with it within a reasonable period, unless we need to retain it for legal reasons.
- Transaction and Payment Information is retained as long as required for accounting and compliance with financial regulations (for example, we may retain invoicing records as required by tax law).
- Usage Data is typically retained in aggregate or anonymized form, but if not, we will purge or anonymize identifiers when they are no longer needed for analytics, security monitoring, or service improvement.
- Legal Retention: We may retain information for longer periods if necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements. When Personal Information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
Your Rights and Choices
Access and Correction: You have the right to request access to the Personal Information we hold about you and to request corrections of any inaccuracies. Most of your basic account information can be reviewed and updated by logging into your account (if you have one) and editing your profile or settings. If you need assistance or do not have an account interface, you can contact us to request that we provide you with a copy of your information or correct any errors.
Deletion of Your Data: You have the right to request deletion of your Personal Information. Our Service may provide self-service tools for you to delete certain information (for example, you may be able to remove or modify content you have submitted). Additionally, you may contact us at any time to request that we delete Personal Information you have provided to us. Upon receiving a verified request, we will delete your information from our records unless retention is required for legal or legitimate business purposes. Please note that deletion of some data (like usage logs stored in backups) may not be immediate, but we will proceed with removal from active databases and logs promptly and will retain backups only for the period necessary before they are automatically deleted.
Opt-Out of Communications: If we send you marketing or promotional communications (such as newsletters), you may opt out at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in those emails or by contacting us directly. Please note that you will continue to receive transactional or account-related communications (e.g., password reset emails, important account notices) even if you opt out of marketing messages.
Cookies: As described above, you can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of certain analytics as noted in the Cookies section. For more information about your choices regarding targeted advertising cookies, you can visit industry opt-out sites like the NAI's Opt-Out Tool or the DAA's WebChoices Tool, although presently we do not use advertising cookies on our site.
If you are a resident of certain regions (such as the European Economic Area or California), you may have additional rights regarding your personal data under applicable law (e.g., the right to restrict processing or data portability). Please contact us if you wish to exercise any of these rights, and we will honor your request in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
